Title: My Current Overview
There are four types of editing, according to the Standards of the Editors’ Association of Canada/Association canadienne des réviseurs (EC):
Proofreading
Copy Editiing
Stylistic Editing
Structural Editing
I currently offer services in the first two:
- Proofreadding (in Adobe Acrobat Pro after the material has been through copy editing and layout/formatting, with edits marked on the PDF via text boxes and/or symbols generated from an add-on to Adobe called Cobweb symbols)
- Copy Editing (in MS Word, using tracked changes that are then either accepted or rejected by the author), going through multiple iterations back and forth between author and editor if needed
